The Battle of Prayer in the Old Testament
Man is a praying animal. All of us are searching for God as we are made in His image. We may forget our Creator, hide from Him,. run after idols, even accuse God of abandoning us., but God still pursues us. In the age of the patriarchs of old, we see sacrifices on high places, altars on mountaintops, and God calling out to His people. And that's where the faith of the Jew is molded into one of expectant faith and obediential faith.
