What's the Role of Perception?
As a native English speaker, you can recognize when I say mouse and when I say mouth phonetically. So that to me is also a kind of perceptual learning module. But it's not something that you can just generalize into audio education in any way. There have been many decades of failed attempts of doing this with reading. It's something you have to be aware of.
