Charles Ryder: The ability to separate the human power of memory and the human faculty of imagination from the animals signifies there's some use of some rational power going on here that makes it a distinctly human act. And so we can imagine a gold mountain. Now a dog's not gonna imagining a gold mountain, right? Or at least we suppose. So all of these are kind of seated in here and this is what's going on here.
