Australia handed over vehicles and weapons but not before some common day to rewords were exchanged. And then a few days later it was back to the parade grind for more equipment from China. I asked Dorothy if all these handovers were actually likely to buy much influence. "I've been reflecting on this. Australia we get blamed for this, you know how Solomon Islands don't really understand how diplomatic relations work," she said.
