There are a group of people who go into atro februlation and their hert rate is under a hundred. Those folks kind of scare me, because thet fasically means that their bavy node really just doesn't work tremendously well. So there's actually some rcts and reasonably high quality evidence that probably checking magnesium levels and topping up your magnesium probably reduces your rate of atrofiblation.
