Are You Going to Self-Identify in Bad Faith?
The worry seems to be, oh, if you go for this idea of self-identification and you indulge that, then people will take the piss. And I'll be honest with you, when I wrote,. when I wrote the book, issues around trans and gender weren't as explosive and combustible as they are now. But there was a thing in one of the chapters which was about gatekeepers. And I used this example of Israel and trying to define who is Jewish and not and how the definition keeps changing.
