Oceans 11 is a movie about a motley crew of men who rig a black out in to simultaneously rob all the biggest casinos in vegas. In her unauthorized biography of frank senatra, which lays bare the singer's affiliations with the mafia, kitty kelly called the original ocean eleve quote a light hearted tale of the mob and their casinos. This time around, i enjoyed it more than i ever have. It felt like a weirdly poignant movie about the possibility of second acts in america,. lives of middle aged men re inventing themselves 15 years after their collective moments of glory. But the film is ultimately cynical, if not fatalistic, at that very idea
