A vine ard is a place where you grow grapes for wine,. So it's a place where there are going to be lots of vine trees for growing grapes for wine. There's an idiom in english, which is through the grapevine, or to hear something through the grape Vine. And this is when you hear people gossiping about something and overhear people talking about something.
