California Animal Rights

California has a terrible and very conflicting record in terms of how they view animal rights based on what industries are in their state. There's clearly a double standard with how states will enact these sorts of policies that are unfair to producers, whether they're vegan producers or they're meat producers just on the basis of what special interest exists within their borders. So I think like if there was a rich legislative history here that suggested that this was really about some local industry that they were protecting, I think they'd be lights out. The poor industry is saying you don't have any industry to protect. So it's just about you projecting power abroad. And they've been on flip sides of that exact issue
