One thing for me is when a person is not making a contact, or they seem so distracted when when you're trying to express your thoughts. And before i hear a little from angel, cassandra breaks break this down for us by saying, you know, what are memories you have where someone gave you signs that they weren't thinking about what what they were? Give me a memory. Obviously, don't say the person's name or any identifying information, but could you give us a sliver of what it looks like when we inadvertently are demonstrating that we aren’t thinking about what the person in front of us is saying?"
Angel Herring and KaSondra Toney discuss how to foster a sense of belonging on episode 388 of the Teaching in Higher Ed podcast.
