The Impact of Islamic Feminism on Muslim Women and Men
Islamic feminism is still active in parts of the Muslim world and has followers among predominantly secular sections of Muslim society. They oppose Islam in one way or another, they regard Islam as purely cultural,. Could be changed here and there, the way we like it, the how we don't like it. The movement re emerged in the 70s due to emergence of so called political Islam which was hostile to women's rights. But then later on gained momentum because of certain reasons among them United Nations decade of women in 1975.
