The Lunar Module Saved Us
mission control has been operating in a low power state, leaving just enough of its systems running to guide the PC plus 2 burn. But it's time for some real austerity. There is barely enough battery power left in the lunar module to keep even essential systems running. "The lunar module was just incredible throughout that whole mission," says commander Jim Level.
