Is There Any Evidence of Democratic Public Ownership?

What I'm fighting for is democratic public ownership. There's a lot of leeway there like you'd want like a nationwide referendum to vote on the nuts and bolts of running the railroads would be a total disaster. And yeah I mean in terms of other models I mean that model is actually used with a lot of publicly owned utilities and it doesn't necessarily work well. But what workers are proposing is they haven't proposed any exact structure as far as I know but the concept that you know workers and other stakeholders who have expertise will call the shots.
