What China's Emerging as a Global Currency
The dollar is adding value to the s d r, because it's a component. The i m f would not be including their currency in this basket if it didn't have some buying power and some staying power. So what you're seeing is that this r m b is now emerging as a global currency, which we haven't seen in the past. And i think that that says a lot about the direction that maybe the chinese economy is going.
