TypeScript

TypeScript lets you focus on getting the design right first, and then with a minimal amount of effort, adding type information. And that's really my biggest criticism of the implementation of TypeScript itself is I find it's not very smart. It might be just an artifact of trying to bolt it onto JavaScript. Maybe this is just what it has to be. If it's for JavaScript, although I kind of doubt it.
