The Dangers of Groupthink in Colleges and Universities
When we're trying to do canceling and accountability, my concern is that what we're promoting is groupthink. Society thrives when every single reasonable viewpoint gets a seat at the table. When you have groupthink, it becomes more and more unacceptable and offensive to even question the group. I remember watching a TED talk delivered by Jonathan Hight where he asked the crowd what their political affiliation was and they were in unanimous agreement.
