Violence is actually quite contagious. If I'm a victim of violence, I'm more likely to be a perpetrator of violence. We need to think most children who get involved in violence have suffered traumaQuite early in their life. A lack of care and support from when you're very little. They feel like they don't matter. And so that's pretty common in all the cities. My biggest plea is we kind of know what works. What we need is adults to step up to try and make it happen.
