The Future of Perception Systems
We're missing this opportunity of saving lives, of creating an impact with respect to safety and sustainability. We didn't want to build a super expensive perception system that would be very exclusive to certain vehicle types or premium vehicles. So we thought about how can we give access to that technology in a much, much broader spectrum to literally any vehicle that is interested in leveraging that technology. And aftermarket devices really in the range of even a smartphone that you buy off the shelf for say 150 US dollars. That's surprisingly strong in terms of computational resources and the platform that you get there. It's still good enough to say generally identify potential and create an impact.
