Britain has been growing at a lot slower rate than usual since the 2008 financial crisis. The country's economy is much more heavily dominated by financial services. There was a general sense of malaise in the country, you know, a frustration with how things are going. In the end, I think all of that pressure together forced this radical prime minister to take one gamble too many and it blew up in her face.
