Interest rates around the world have all gone up. A lot of that is down to geopolitical events, completely out of their control. That's why the government shouldn't have made things worse. People watching this might feel a bit flippant, giving them a pay through the teeth for a policy they've abandoned. But there you go. It seems a bit like, well, that's life. Well, at the end of the day, it is. And I will also benefit somebody or you'll benefit pensioners and pension funders, for example.
