The American Constitution Is a Great Product of Application History
Could it all play out in a similar way to day? Is a great question. The recurrent problem for republics through history has been that the populace, the masses, can become disenchanted with the elite and the constitutional order. This is a kind of recurrent like motif. It was a great preoccupation of the founders of the united states. And they carefully designed the american constitution so that it would be hard for anyone to do a napoleon.
