The Importance of War in Rugby
The average lifespan of a rugby player is only six years. I was able to drag it out into my late 30s, which is quite rare. And my body is thanking me that I'm no longer a rugby player. But yeah, it's a grueling, hugely demanding sport. You're literally going into battle against your opposition. It's physical. It's demanding this high pressure,. A whole lot of expectation and you're implementing this game planning against your opponents. Anything can happen at any time, obviously within the rules. That feeling that you get at the end of 18 minutes where you're looking at your teammate in the eye and you're going, I'm proud of you.
