There are examples where putting information into a system increases its mass. We don't know whether an infinite number of points in space, we don't even know if space is fundamental or emergent and time lasts forever. I think that physical stuff is physical and it may or may not contain information, but if you didn't have any physical stuff, then you couldn't carry information.
