The Problem of Suffering in Judaism
The problem of suffering occupies an especially central place in the Jewish philosophical tradition. The Jews are selected by God as the chosen people yet wind up suffering more than any other people. How providential then, perhaps literally, that the Hebrew Bible should include one of the classic religious texts on suffering.
