Mesolithic Sites on the Ganges Plain
Damdama sits on a raised patch around the confluence of two rivers, tributaries that flow into a larger river. It's one of a bunch of sites on the Ganges Plain dating to roughly this period of time. People came there, they stayed for quite a while, and they kept coming back. There are 47 adult burials at Damdama, which is a ton of people for a cemetery in this period anywhere in the world.
