Sally Kohn: I feel like these are really important things that don't get the attention that they actually deserve. The environmental costs of this, it can be easy to ignore how these models are based on a lot of compute power. She says there's also exploited labor behind what so-called AI systems do. Kohn: What if there's a different type of an AI model that is better suited toward the public? That might come of this toward the types of things that we would be more concerned with as a people.
