The Met Gala: A Fusion of Celebrity and High Fashion
The Met Gala is a thing that's happening every year since 1948. It's a fundraiser for this one part of the Met. Anna Wintour did with Andre Leon Talley, she said, screw that. We're going to put celebrities on the cover and we're going to do it all together. So yeah, she's accomplished this kind of perfect melding of celebrity and high fashion. And I ask, does it work? Because every year they'll say, here's the theme, then I watch the red carpet looks and I'm like, that doesn't make any sense.
