The Importance of Being a Good Guitar Player
The feeling of being told that I wasn't a good guitar player was about the worst feeling I could imagine. Steve Vai had been Frank's Apa's band playing guitar and it was around that time he just became my favorite thing. Zappa seemed to be speaking a different language than other people when talking about polyrhythms.
