The notion that any criticism of Israel is anti-Semitic became a huge point of debate in British society. What essentially what was happening was the Israel lobby was trying to basically foist it on the Labour Party and force the Labour Party to they'd already adopted part of it but they wanted to make sure they adopted all the examples as well. The biggest example of that was Ken Livingston the left wing former mayor of London who had been another one of these kind of left wing stalwarts within the Labour Party during the Blair years. He even actually won the morality of London without the support of the Labour Party against the wishes of the Labour party and against the official Labour Party candidate eventually he was readmitted
