The Benefits of Having a Pet
Scientists say that having a pet can also make you feel less stressed and stop you from feeling lonely. They think some of the benefits might be linked to this new discovery about memory, because remembering to look after a fish or a feathery or furry friend can help you remember other things too. In a place called Manjumup in Western Australia, there's an aged care facility where residents used to be farmers. Having Kip the Collie around gets the residents chatting about what it was like for them back when they were working.
