West Pakistan intelligentsia's moral bankruptcy baffles me. Supposed intellectuals continue to act like apologists for the state and seek to find justifications for how Bengalis were treated. The best defense this elite privilege intelligentsia can offer is that it would have been mathematically impossible for the Pakistani army to kill 3 million people and rape 200,000 women. But if we were to even divide these numbers by 10, would that be justified? If instead of millions and hundreds and thousands, if thousands were killed and hundreds were raped, is that justified?
