When Do We Help?

In the 17 hundreds, jonathan edwards listed out the most common excuses that people gave for not helping those who were in need. In a little book called the duty of charity, it is amazing to me how timely these excuses still are. The samaritan would have had plenty of reasons to believe this jewish man deserved his suffering.
