The Russian Interest in Ghana
After Gainese independence from the British, Ghana formed a very close ties with the Soviet Union. Russia also was interested in Ghana because the United States was an enemy. But subsequent to the collapse of the USSR, there has been a slight diminution of that ideological coalition.
