Sales and marketing are like two ships just kind of moving along by each other in the middle floating through a storm yeah exactly it's uh it's absurd and you know i blame somebody asked a good question on linkedin the other day they asked me if salespeople should be comped more for deals that they source. There's not an engine that anyone that i can find has designed to have these two departments working together why do you think it doesn't happen? Sales treats everyone like they're ice cold and like they're all ready to buy right now so i think that's what breaks it right there's no nuance and the sales team has never been held accountable to that nuance, he says.
