The study looked at the changes in one RM in the squat and the leg press which they pre and post tested. The more specific movement that contains the same joint angles, contains the same range of motion transfers really well to the leg press. And it is the power lifters who think they are strength coaches who kind of just see it as, "I need to move you up in performance" That's not exactly what these researchers found.
