Theology and Hierarchy in the New Testament
Hierarchy is the idea that a certain group is intrinsically structured in such a way that there are persons who possess authority. An example of hierarchy would be, you know, the United States government. Even within the clergy, there is a distinction between presbyters and bishops. But I question whether there was a hierarchy among Jesus' disciples or earliest generations of Christians.
