Tamler: I don't think these things have the widespread impact on your careers for the most part. It just really depends on what you do. And it trickles down too, like grad students now are afraid to go on blogs and post under their own name. Tamler: To me, the comparison is in the absence of Twitter, there was no possibility of that sort of severe consequence from one comment.
