A simple training technique that I use is sprinting for 45 to 60 seconds, either on a treadmill or outside. You want to try and keep that break in between sets as low as possible. If it doesn't push you, you're not going hard enough during the sprints. A bit of aerobic, bit of high intensity interval training, and a bit of resistance training. The perfect board, let's say,  I don't believe that there is a perfect board,. but let's say you wanted to know exactly what you should be doing across the week.
