Freud's Qualifying of Neuronal Inputs

Freud abandoned an 1895, his kind of more scientific ways of trying to find units of neuronal inputs and outputs. He always kept to that scientific endeavor. When he talks about something like libido, as a kind of stand in for a libinol energy, he's not able to say that there's a standard Freudian unit of that could be calculable yet. But still that type of conceptualization is helpful in thinking about the way in which he's seeing his patients work through their symptoms.
