The Importance of the Lord's Supper in Worship
The expectation of the New Testament is when you get together for church, you have the Lord's Supper. As long as you don't participate in the idol, feasts who cares where the meat came from? So it's important for us to understand that this is in a very tight liturgical context. But there's also this problem here about the woman praying, leading in worship with her head covered or uncovered and then in chapter 14, the women being silent in the churches. Uh oh, where they're not permitted to speak. Let them subject themselves. The table helps us to understand what the word is all about and the word helps us to understanding what the table is all about.
