Tumor lysis syndrome is defined as two or more of the following. These abnormalities must occur within three days before or seven days after chemotherapy. The clinical manifestations are cardiac arrhythmia, seizure, acute kidney injury and sudden death. In tumor lysis syndrome, you should be calling your hematology or oncology colleagues early.
