Caroline's Deeds

Caroline used the women as personal slaves, and they cooked and cleaned for her single day. She had 18 pairs of gloves, 26 hats and over 200 pairs of shoes. Even though willetta and virginia had jobs outside of the home, they always returned and worked for carolane. They also gave her all the money they made while they stayed locked away in the basement. And when police asked why the women would agree to something like this, they told the police that Caroline had put a hax on them.
