Epistolary: Joachim Brackx on Choice, desire, and purpose
Clerestory (Bryan Kam)
Introduction
Joachim: In the absence of external input and any clear and strong desires that arise from the self, how do you think it is best to go about making decisions about how to act or what to do? That's the question. I will record a roughly one-minute voice note for you to reply to. Brian asks Joachim if he thinks desire and pressure presumably social pressure from other people would be the two drivers of the action for most of your life. Whether that's changed or whether it's been constant or indeed whether you disagree with those two framings.
