Argyle drank his whisky, but he really wanted some laudanum to calm his nerves. Dillinger ordered a manhattan and the two of them watched the wizard on stage wheel out a guillotine and then ask for a volunteer from the audience. Anna sage and peggy hamilton were too engrossed in the show to notice that an identical twin, the man they had arrived with, was walking toward his own death.
