Some animals seem to have something like what we would call ESP in humans. Rupert Sheldrake has done studies on dogs that seem to know when their owners are coming home. He's actually studied it with specific dogs, where they did randomized trials. But once she made the decision to come home, the dog would go to the window and wait for her.
