The Girondens Turned on Tha Danton

A few thousand gathered outside the convention to demand that 22 specifically named gerond and deputies be expelled. Robespierre was not yet ready to let his principles give way to the political threat posed by the henrage. Failing to bust robespierre, the girondens then turned on danton. It was an odd time to go after danton, since he too had nothing tdo with the aborted insurrection of march tenth.
