The Fucking Canal

The US never gives up on its dream of a Panama Canal controlled for the profit of the United States. For a while, devastated by war, it had no ability to pursue that goal. So France steps in because they're doing a lot better at this point. And they do have the ability to go into Panama and try to make a canal of their own. But you know what, they're bad at Chelsea. Building a fucking canal. This might be the worst failure of canal building, probably that anyone has. Second to the Suez Canal though, right? I don't think the French did.
