Money not only creates a division between what constitutes need for the workers versus need for the rich according to marx it also becomes a dominating force within capitalist society asserting a sort of absolute privacy capitalism creates a system wherein the possession and acquiring of objects is a central activity for man-kind and these objects have to be acquired through transaction this system creates a world in which money is central as money possesses quote the property of appropriating all objectsmoney is thus the object of eminent possession he says.
