What's the Recent History of Psychology?
The 19 seventies was a turning point in how the field of psychology regarded sex minorities. The stonewall uprising and decision by the american psychiatric association ad to begin to dpathologize homosexuality were also key moments. It is te time where there is it's also the period where people start to talk about generation gaps. That' a term that's used for the first time, as i understand it correctly, in the 19 sixties. There seems to be a very different consciousness between younger and older people,. A difference about what psychology should do around issues around chronic injustice.
