Lad, Sir Lancelot, and Sir Gawain

Sir Lancelot and Sir Gawain were on their way to a conclave when they met Alan. The boy told them he had been sent by the king's son, Percival. He was asked to return before sundown with a message for his comrades. But both men decided that it would be 'pity' to send him back without success. They returned in good time - but only after an hour-long delay.
